Sharon Hanson (Subcommittee Chair: Employment)
Holds a Senior Lectureship in Law at Canterbury Christ Church University in the Department for the Study of Crime and Policing, where she is responsible for the Criminal Law and advance social legal methods programmes. She is interested in all aspects of legal education, and has written one of the cutting edge texts. She is also the specialist advisor for legal methodology for the University of London external laws programme.
During the period 2004 – 2006 she was a commissioner on the Evangelical Alliance inquiry into Faith and Nation. Currently she is researching in the area of Human Rights, Discrimination law, anti terrorism legislation and religion for a new scholarly text, Living Under Two Laws commissioned by Cavendish Publishing for publication in 2007. She received her law degree from the London School of Economics, University of London, and her Masters degree and doctorate from Kings College, University of London.
